SNAP are delighted to have helped Akuma Beavers secure sponsorship before heading out to the 2018 Emirates Airline Dubai Rugby Sevens tournament. Surrey-based Akuma Beavers have been working with SNAP for a number of years to drive additional funds for the club.
The team started as a social sevens side linked with the Guildford Rugby Club in 2009 which is still the home base of the 7s team.
After the humble beginnings eight years ago, the whole project went through a significant re-brand in 2016, resulting in a new team name and a strong social media presence as well as ambitious goals for 2018.
Like the beaver, the lads at the club have worked hard to get the name out by providing engaging content on the social media side a move which has attracted several generous sponsors.
The Beavers have seen great success in the past year, lifting 7 trophies across 5 tournaments entered. Team manger, Alex Plaistowe said, "sponsorship is imperative to get to the number of tournaments we go to each year including Bournemouth, Summer Social, Stockholm and Dubai.
The Beavers are also huge advocates of community engagement, "sponsorship helps us to get out into the community and raise the profile of the charity Shooting Star Chase who we have been raising money for along the way,"
