The Club Today
Welcome to Hawley Amateur Boxing Club. Following in the footsteps of our sister club, Rathbone ABC, Hawley Amateur Boxing Club is a non-profit community interest company run by volunteers, giving back to the local area. The club is housed within Camden Boxing Club and incorporates a dedicated competitive squad and an outreach arm to ensure boxing is accessible to everyone.
Our competitive squad is registered with the National Governing Body, England Boxing, to compete in Olympic style boxing. The squad operates on a membership basis with a small annual fee and Junior members (ages 11-17).
We are a non-profit club is dedicated towards the development of our members both inside and outside of the ring. We ensure that our services are accessible to everyone and truly believe that our sport offers a vast array of physical and mental advantages with benefits towards cardiovascular fitness, balance, endurance, strength and hand-eye coordination. Psychologically, it fosters confidence, concentration, resilience, self-awareness and relief from stress.
We offer free boxing sessions to a number of our local communities thanks to funding from charities and your generous donations. Please help us to continue the good work we do in the community.

Outreach
Hawley ABC is a special place due to our inclusive ethos and dedication to our work within the local community. We have provided both online and in person training for numerous groups including women and girls, low socio-economic, LGBTQ+, men over 40 and children. We have also supported our local communities with nutrition fact sheets, home self-training plans and workouts in targeted projects to increase cohesion, reduce loneliness and reduce the risk of heart disease.
We have strong partnerships with a number of community and non-profit organisations, such as Boxwise London, with whom we deliver free non-contact boxing courses for local young people, feeding them after each session and offering employment and education pathways on completion. We participated in the government’s Kickstart programme employing young people on work placements offering mentoring, equipment and vocational courses to upskill and equip them for long term meaningful employment.
Our work has been formally recognised with our ‘#FightTogether against Heart Disease’ project winning the One You Westminster award in and our ‘Proud to #FightTogether’ project winning the prestigious London Sport ‘Uniting London’ award in 2021.
Our outreach into our local communities continues as we deliver sessions in some of the boroughs most deprived areas through our partnership with London Sport.
Aspirations
Since our formation Hawley Amateur Boxing Club has made a significant impact on the lives of our members. We now want to take what we have built and proceed to the next level. Sponsorship of our club will provide us with the support to achieve that. Through commercial partnerships we can proceed to establish ourselves in the following areas:
- Create new pathways to promote our club to potential members
- Upgrade our coaching and equipment to deliver quality services
- Develop our athletes and aid their progression into new challenges
Sponsorship will be at the heart of our operations with Hawley ABC endeavouring to promote your business with the same level of drive, commitment and passion that we retain for our own services. Together we can produce lasting, successful relationships that will provide mutually beneficial returns for both your organisation and our own, affecting our members, local community and future for the better.
