The Club Today

Boreham Royals Cricket Club is a welcoming and inclusive community, characterized by our social, friendly atmosphere and our commitment to continual growth. We extend our arms to all individuals, regardless of age, race, or religious affiliation. To be part of our family, all that's required is a spirit of respect, inclusivity, open-mindedness, and a passion for cricket.

At Boreham Royals Cricket Club, we take pride in ensuring that every player receives ample opportunity to participate fully in each game. Currently, we field two teams, competing on both Saturdays and Sundays. Our Saturday team competes in the T-Rippon Mid Essex league, while our Sunday team takes on the challenge in the Warsop league.

Nestled within the scenic surroundings of the Boreham Recreation Ground, our club enjoys a picturesque setting. The facility boasts a generously sized playing square, ample parking space, and a clubhouse complete with changing rooms and catering facilities.

The History of Our Club

Our history may be short, as Boreham Royals Cricket Club was officially founded in July 2020. as Chelmsford Spartan but was rebranded in 2023.  Initially, our journey began with indoor cricket, inspired by England's triumph in the 2019 World Cup. As our numbers grew and enthusiasm soared, we made the decision to formalize our club, attaining club status with the ECB. Despite our brief existence, we are driven by passion and determination to make a significant mark in the cricketing world.

Our vision at Boreham Royals Cricket Club is clear: we strive to cultivate not only players but also individuals, fostering growth both on and off the field. Central to our vision is the development of strong community partnerships, as we aim to create an environment that is welcoming and inclusive for everyone. Through our commitment to these principles, we aspire to be more than just a cricket club – we aim to be a beacon of unity and camaraderie in our community.

Mission

Our mission at Boreham Royals Cricket Club is twofold:

To create a safe and welcoming environment where cricketers, their families, and friends can come together to enjoy the sport and each other's company.

To actively promote the development of cricket within our local community, fostering a love for the game and encouraging participation at all levels. Through these efforts, we aim to strengthen both the sport of cricket and our club's presence within the community, enriching the lives of all involved.
