Why Partner With Us?

Multiple sponsor opportunities

Each year we need to raise additional funding, enabling grassroots cricket to continue to flourish through the provision of professional coaching to all our 250+ members. This enhances the work performed by our network of volunteer ECB qualified coaches.

Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club is keen to build long term reciprocal partnerships with local businesses in the mutual promotion of our club and our partners. By hosting 80+ games per season during the summer, we attract many visitors to our picturesque home ground and offer a great platform for advertising.

The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with perks ranging from, but not limited to:

  • Logo and link on social media posts and websites pages to growing internal and external audiences.
  • Advertising in our digital matchday programme.
  • Entry on our ‘Tas Yellow Pages” register of partners and businesses (electronic and physical copies).
  • Physical advertisement on club assets, providing market exposure to players and spectators.
  • Opportunities to advertise at club events to an audience wider than our existing membership base.
  • Social membership of our club

The Club Today

We’re a friendly and inclusive ECB ClubMark accredited cricket club located in the picturesque grounds of Taswood Lakes, Flordon, Norfolk. ECB ClubMark is an accreditation scheme for cricket clubs which demonstrates that a club is sustainable, well run and provides the right environment for its members.

Facilities

Our home location has two full sized pitches, a pavilion and bar, six changing rooms and electronic scoring facilities on both grounds. In 2022, we launched a brand-new practice net, providing training facilities for our 15 teams. The club is well renowned in the county of Norfolk for the beauty of the location and for its fantastic playing surfaces, which are maintained by a team of keen volunteers.

Club History and the Community

Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club is a family orientated, progressive community club which can trace its heritage back to 1860. The club was located in Hethersett for the majority of its existence, but as the club rose through the leagues in the 1990s, it outgrew the available facilities. Therefore, in 2003 and with the huge support of the Ellis family, the club moved to its present, dedicated home at Taswood Lakes, Flordon. In the years following, HTVCC has thrived and continues to grow year on year, in alignment with the ambitions of our club. Membership continues to increase and we currently host 15 regular teams.

Tas is home to 9 senior teams. The first XI and second XI compete in the Norfolk Cricket Alliance, whilst our third and fourth XI play in the Norfolk Cricket League. Our Sunday Team is well supported by a mix of experienced and younger players making their first steps in adult cricket. We are pleased to see increased participation over recent years by girls and have been able to successfully integrate those aged over 13 into our ladies’ hard ball and softball teams. In addition, we have a successful over 40s team and a midweek XI. Our U19 T20 team is great fun to watch on a summer evening!

We offer cricket coaching to over 120 children at the U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17 age groups and on Sunday morning, a further 45 children aged 5-8 learn the fundamental skills of cricket via the ECB “All-Stars” scheme. Our ongoing development of youth talent and community cricket is supported by a network of ECB qualified coaches.

Hethersett and Tas Valley Cricket Club attracts membership from the South Norfolk area, including our original home location of Hethersett. Junior membership is predominantly drawn from the local South Norfolk and Tas Valley area, which is in close location to the club.

We offer cricketing opportunities to players of all ages and experience, at a time when cricket is not widely taught in state schools. With the help of our home-grown players, most of whom attend state schools in the local catchment area, we field 4 teams every Saturday. In 2023, our first XI have achieved promotion to the Norfolk Cricket Alliance Premier Division for the first time in our history. This is the highest tier of cricket for the county of Norfolk, sitting only below the regional East Anglian Premier League (EAPL) and offers a great platform for advertising.

Aspirations

Our aspiration for the future of of club is to maintain the growth and expansion of our club within the community and continue to progress playing standards across all our club;

  • We will support our First XI in competing the Norfolk Cricket Alliance Premier Division
  • We will support all 15 of our playing teams in achieving the best playing standards possible, committing fully to developing our own talent.
  • We will offer cricket-for-all, with no barriers, celebrating the diversity of our membership and the community at large.
  • We are both of and for the community. We will build our profile with new and sustainable reciprocal commercial and non-commercial relationships to support our ambitions.
  •

Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them in to our club on a strategic level — allowing all of our partners to benefit from our ever-improving facilities, expanding audience and our community involvement.
