Who Are We?

We are a community rugby union club, based in the heart of Dagenham. 

Founded in 1991 by a group of friends, Dagenham RUFC prides itself of being one of the most open and accessible clubs for all.

Whilst we uphold the values and traditions of Rugby, you will not find any heirs or graces from us! 

We are a diverse, down-to-earth community club with members from all classes, races, cultures, creeds, colours and backgrounds.

Our membership fee’s are one of the cheapest around and our Youth Section is completely subsidized. We feel that economic background should have no impact on participation of our great game. Our Youth Section has a proud tradition of providing children from the local community with valuable life skills. We have had boys and girls go on to represent the County and Saracens Development Squad and even gain Rugby Scholarships in the US, but more importantly links at the club have helped with employment opportunities once they leave school. 

Our senior men’s section has achieved unprecedented success for our small club in recent times, competing most recently at level 6 of the RFU league structure and having won all three levels of the Essex Cup competitions!

We always welcome new players, parents, volunteers and supporters. Throughout the season we have regular socials including our annual end-of-season tour.
