The Club Today
Wrexham RFC is approaching its centenary with an air of confidence. By refocussing its aims and ambitions, the club is going from strength to strength and rapidly becoming an on and off field success with our Senior and Youth teams. They are almost entirely homegrown players and impressing allcomers with the quality of their skills. The 1XV were successful in winning North Wales Division 2 and the Youth reached the final of the North Wales Cup.
Growing playing numbers have been further enhanced in recent years by the establishment of a girls’ rugby hub, The Valkyries, and our burgeoning Ladies team goes from strength to strength, playing most weeks and continuing to grow our numbers.
The ladies team reformed three years ago and has so far enjoyed a great season, winning their last three fixtures. We have also created one of the largest Mini Rugby events in the region with over 1000 children from Under 12's downwards playing rugby at Wrexham in our Annual Anglo-Welsh Festival on the last Sunday in April each year. It truly is Community Rugby at its finest!
The club has a flexible approach to sponsorship, with perks ranging from but are not limited to:
- Logo & link on social media posts and websites pages, to an audience of just over 1,000,000 annually
- Physical advertisement on club assets, providing exposure to players and spectators which will also be advertised through our social media channels
- Opportunities to advertise at club events, to an audience wider than our existing membership base
- Captive audience of club members for exclusive business promotions, driving top-line sales
- Invites to club events
Alternative/supplementary perks can be arranged through negotiation dependent on the level of sponsor commitment, budget and your business objectives.
We are committed to giving you and your company the exposure and promotion you deserve. We recognise that without your support many of our club members would not be enjoying their sport at the weekend!

Aspirations
Wrexham RUFC have an intention of growing the game of Rugby by focusing on our Youth at the club. Our coaching philosophy is constantly evolving as we progress. We are pleased to announce that we have recently formed an ‘Advanced Pathway’ which is specifically designed for our U15, U16 Youth and senior squad.
The concept is that the junior teams will focus on core skills, catching, passing, tackling, footwork etc. meaning the emphasis on winning games should be less important with player participation being the key. The intention is that when players get to the move up to the Advanced Pathway at Under 15 level, they have the core skills embedded and can bypass learning these.
They can then focus on structure, ethos and playing style, which we believe will be played from the 1XV downwards. Mini & Junior rugby are also extremely important. Naturally we are hoping to attract and retain more players at Wrexham which is vital to the future of our club.
History
Wrexham RUFC was established in 1925, led by a group of Rugby enthusiasts who met in the Imperial Hotel in Wrexham to discuss the creation of a new Club in the area. After its formation the club played at the Hermitage Ground in Percy Road. In 1939 the club was temporary halted due to the outbreak of the Second World War.
Since the conclusion of this conflict the club has grown in phenomenal strength. Today the club is proud to accommodate Rugby for all, regardless of age, ability or gender, showcasing the inclusivity of this great sport.
