I play American football because I fell in love with the sport after impulsively trying it at university. After being told I could never play rugby again, due to a knee injury, my mental and physical health took a turn for the worst, I became short tempered and unfit. That all changed when I decided to give the university American football team a try, I was weary at first due to my previous injury, but found that the sport does not aggravate my injury as much as rugby did. I found the sport challenging at first but my coaches believe I have a natural talent for the sport, and the position I play and think I could pursue it at a higher level. This sparked my old drive to be a professional athlete and I fell in love with the process of greatness once again, it changed my life, I started working out in the gym, training harder at practice and just overall thinking about the sport and how I can improve 24/7. I joined the Alphas this season as I believe as a team, they embody the same drive for greatness that I have. I played against the Alphas last season and saw the attitude, mentality and relentless need for success that the entire team has and I knew I had to be a part of it.
