What's happening at SNAP? What are clubs and businesses achieving with sponsorship? More about the world of sponsorship.......

Old Reigatian Rugby Club welcomed the curly haired Welshman we all know as Adam Jones on Thursday 1st December. One of the most decorated Welshman in history and not afraid to tell you, as our ever impressive compere Dave Ward, was told every five minutes!

For our second SNAP Rugby Business Club, guests enjoyed an hour of uninterrupted networking, which was swiftly followed by an incredible two course lunch with some of us enjoying more than one helping of mains…(no names mentioned of fingers pointed!) A small break allowed for guests to grab a refreshment and were welcomed back with a video introducing Adam Jones to the stage showcasing a drop kick ‘missed’ against Munster a few years ago.

Adam and Dave got into their stride quickly with Adam taking the 'micky' out of Dave on a number of different occasions which set the tone for the afternoon. Dave probed into the Welshman's life, discussing topics like the Lions, propping against ‘The Beast’, the collision with Bakkies Botha and much more. As entertaining as it was, we spent a worryingly long time asking ladies in the room what dress size Adam would fit into from a recent charity function he had attended. For those of you who would like to know, send your guesses to events@snapsponsorship.com and all will be revealed!

A extremely generous member who had made donation to the new playing pitches was awarded with a signed Lions shirt which was presented to him by Adam Jones on the day. A lovely touch by the club!

The afternoon was finished with another hour of open networking which naturally gravitated towards the bar which signed off another fantastic event. My thanks goes to Old Reigatian RFC, Balsamic Fig for an unbelievable two-course lunch and of course my thanks to both Dave and Adam.

Next time we welcome Nick Evans (Former All Black and Harlequins fly-half) on Friday 17th March. Click here for tickets and great valued table bookings...
