Sported working in partnership with Ulster Rugby have just completed a five month pilot project to get more young females playing from rugby across Northern Ireland.
Community rugby clubs benefited from tailored training and insight on removing barriers to female participation and creating more tailored opportunities to play rugby, both competitively and recreationally. Each club was supported by a Sported volunteer mentor to develop a ‘Women and Girls Engagement Plan’ to put the training and insight into practice.
