Why Reading Aces Volleyball Club
About us:
Reading Aces Volleyball Club (RAVC) is based in Reading, the heart of Berkshire. RAVC reformed in 2008 combining Thames Valley Tigers and Chiltern Volleyball Club.
We are a friendly social club that caters for all levels of volleyball from juniors and those who have never played through to intermediate standards.
With over 30 years of volleyball experience in the Berkshire region Reading Aces have now 2 teams playing in the National Volleybal League (NVL): Ladies team in Division 3 and Men also in Division 3. On a regional level, we have mens, ladies, juniors and mixed teams competing in the Berkshire Volleyball Association (BVA) league. Our juniors A team who recently won •Youth Team of the Year” Sports Award elected by Reading Council are playing in the adult Mixed division. Juniors B Play the local friendly matches and tournaments.
We train indoors during the months of September to May and move outside in the summer to play social tournaments and beach volleyball.
When indoor season will be finished, we’ll be holding outdoor sessions at the King’s Meadows park in Reading on Tuesdays from 6:30pm.
If playing on the grass is not your cup of tea, why not come along to a trial in August? Currently we’re only offering this for intermediate/advanced ladies and men as other sessions are currently full. Please email at info@readingaces.co.uk if you’d like to attend or put yourself on our waiting list. Our beginners Juniors train just at 7:30 pm on Mondays at Kendrick school.
If you’d like to speak to one of our committee members please just email us and we’ll get back to you regarding any questions that you may have about the club.
