Charlie has had a very successful 2022. In sprint, Charlie won silver in the U23 K1 5000m at the World Championships. In marathon, Charlie won silver in the U23 K1 European Championships and came 6th in the senior K2 with James.

In 2023 Charlie is looking to qualify for the Olympics, having been to the last round of qualifications before Tokyo in 2021. He is also targeting the medals at the two sprint World Cups which kick off next season. In marathon, Charlie is aiming to be National Champion in both K1 and K2 and he’s set his sights on a medal at the senior Euros or Worlds.
