In 2022 Alex achieved his main goal of representing GB internationally in both sprint and marathon. For marathon he raced the World Cup where he finished 11th in the short course and 17th on the long course. For sprint Alex achieved selection for the European Championships. At the European Championships he completed in the k2 1000 (finishing 10th) and k4 500 (11th).

In the 2023 season Alex is looking to build upon this year’s achievements to gain further selections for European and World Championship events in both sprint and marathon.
