In 2022 Dan has pursued the Olympic K1 1000m distance with the hope to qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris. Early in the season Dan raced in Czech Republic and Poland at the ICF World Cup events where he won the B final at both events finishing in 10th position. This summer he rounded off the year with the European and World Championships, finishing 8th and 12th respectively. With the Olympic Quota places bringing the top 13 countries to Paris for the 2024 Olympics, Dan is in a good position to achieve his aim of qualifying for the Olympics.
