Paul Lawson began playing bowls at the age of 15, winning the u25 county singles 4 years later. Due to work commitments, Paul relocated to London in 1976 during which time he began bowling for Middlesex. He went on to win their county triples whilst also playing in the Middlesex Middleton Cup team for a number of years.

Paul switched allegiance to Hertfordshire in 1998, skipping a triple that went on to win their county competition. Having retired from work, Paul returned to the North and after playing a few years at the other club in Morpeth, Paul joined St. George's Dragons in 2012 whereupon he qualified for the national finals at Lemington in the triples and 4'S. In addition, Paul returned to the Middleton Cup side in 2018.

Paul has enjoyed playing bowls for over 50 years now, continuing to play at a high level. Paul held the office of club President for 2 years and is a member of our 'green gang' whereby he volunteers his time to help maintain our bowling green and surrounding areas. He loves the game of bowls!
