About us:

Welcome to the official SNAP profile of Caledonian Locomotives Football Club.

Who Are We?

We are a Football Club consisting of over 60 members based in Springburn, Glasgow. Formerly known as Rossvale Juniors we rebranded in 2023 due to circumstances outwith our control and named our club after the "world famous" St Rollox Locomotive Works/Glasgow Railway Works known locally in the area as "The Caley".

How does SNAP deliver more value to you?

Sponsoring through SNAP provides you with significant value. Being on SNAP gives us access to expert guidance and unique activations. This in turn will maximise your return on objectives, and investment. For over a decade SNAP has supported grassroots, local and regional sports across the UK by facilitating mutually beneficial partnerships between businesses and clubs to benefit companies, communities and the economy. We welcome any opportunity to discuss how we can replicate this success with you.

Why is sponsorship important?

Sponsorship offers critical financial support, allowing us to cover expenses and support our growth initiatives. Additionally, sponsorship fosters a sense of community, linking your company with our network to meet your commercial objectives. By sponsoring us your business will benefit from enhanced brand recognition, giving you the opportunity to connect with our audience and promote your products, services, and experiences. Please refer to our Sponsorship Opportunities for additional details.

History

A decision was taken by Rossvale in early 2010 to enter an adult team into the Junior football set up, with the aim of allowing ex-youth players to remain in the game at a decent standard. Rossvale Juniors joined the Central District Second Division for the start of the 2011–12 season.

The club clinched their first Junior honour in March 2015 by winning the 2014–15 Central District Second Division title. Three years later in the 2017/18 season the club won the Central District First Division title and then immediately gained promotion the following season to the West Region Premiership after finishing in third place. In 2020 like all West Region clubs we moved to the senior pyramid by joining the West of Scotland Football League. The club enjoyed Premier Division football for a total of three seasons but suffered relegation to Division One at the end of the 21/22 season due to sponsorship woes. The lack of sponsorship the following season continued and the club were relegated to the Second Division. In season 23/24 we unfortunately fell just short of promotion straight back to Division One after finishing in the fourth place in the League.

The club is based at Petershill Park in Glasgow (also home of Glasgow City, Petershill FC & Partick Thistle Ladies) after initially being based at the complex for 6 years from 2011 after a groundsharing agreement was agreed with Petershill FC.  An opportunity in 2017 to move to the Huntershill Sports Hub in Bishopbriggs was to good to turn down and the club played there for two rewarding seasons. However on gaining promotion in 2019 the club were forced to move again as the Complex was deemed unsuitable to host top flight football with East Dunbartonshire Council unwilling to invest in upgrading its facilities. For the 2019–20 season we entered a groundsharing arrangement with Benburb to play at New Tinto Park in Govan, Glasgow and stayed there for two seasons before returning back to Petershill Park for the 21/22 season.

Thank you for your time and consideration, any help in solving our financial worries would be greatly appreciated by us all at the club.
