She Gets Social Campaign

With 2 million fewer women exercising regularly than men in England, Pulse Social will be launching the She Gets Social community sports project this Spring 2021.

The Pulse Social Sports Group CIC was founded by Marlon Commock (an international sports coach and social enterprise entrepreneur) and the aim of increasing involvement, inclusion, and confidence in sports for all ages throughout London and Hertfordshire.

We now want to focus on developing an inclusive community sports project that will increase the number of females taking part in sport and exercise whilst also changing how women feel and think about playing sports.

The numbers of inactive participation are greatly lower in BAME and disadvantaged communities in London and Hertfordshire and the She Gets Social campaign will provide more opportunities for females to become more active from disadvantaged areas, starting in Hackney but then expanding across London and Hertfordshire.

In the wake of Covid-19 and another lockdown, it is more important than ever that women can integrate physical activity into their lives. We hope in this time time of disconnect and isolation, we can offer women the chance to engage with each other, creating a feeling of belonging in a time when community matters so much. Our aim is to break down the barriers that prevent females participating in physical activities by creating a safe environment for women to interact and engage with each other.

We believe She Gets Social can help women to get out, get involved and, mostly importantly, create a sporting smile!
