Who Are We?

Established in 1887 and based at Stanford-le-Hope Recreation Ground, SLHCC are a well-managed local community club with 138 members. 2025 will be a momentous year for the club, with it being the 100th anniversary of cricket being played at Stanford Recreation Ground. To mark the occasion, we have been granted a fixture against the MCC. 

Jack Petchey Scheme

We are involved in a number of local initiatives, including the Jack Petchey scheme. This is a foundation that gives grants to programmes and projects that benefit young people aged 11-25.

The Foundation exists to raise the aspirations of young people, to help them take advantage of opportunities and play a full part in society.
