About Our Club

Woodbridge Cricket Club was formed in 1998 when two local cricket clubs merged together, Deben Valley and Old Woodbridge’s to form the current incarnation of the club. Our home ground is the stunning Ash Park located in the middle of a national heritage park in Campsea Ashe. A site that has historical cricketing relevance where the famous I Zingari CC played their first ever game at Ash Park in 1845. It was also the home of Deben Valley Cricket Club throughout the 80s and early 90s.

The club is now operating with two adult Saturday sides in the Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship and our Suffolk T20 Cup XI have enjoyed a successful last few years, with back-to-back appearances at the Suffolk T20 Cup Finals day, winning the 2020 version. The Saturday 1st Team won promotion in 2019 and 2021 and now again in 2023, securing promotion to Division 5 of the Two Counties Cricket Championship for next season.

The Club also has an emerging Junior section, which the club has invested heavily in over the past 12 months with new training equipment. The Club currently has several qualified coaches within its ranks and is planning to expand the Junior section over the next few seasons by launching ECB National Programmes All Stars Cricket and Dynamos Cricket in the heart of Woodbridge Town.

Aspirations

With securing promotion to Division 5 this season, we have ambitious plans to continue to develop the infrastructure at the club and grow our membership and teams.

Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them in to our club on a strategic level — allowing all of our partners to benefit from our ever-improving facilities, expanding audience and our community involvement.
