Remove economic barriers making sport affordable, accessible and inclusive for all
Over 75% of our programmes are FREE for low-income families and we require sponsorship in order to keep delivering our high-quality services and inspiration.
Sponsorship of a grassroots sport delivers a much higher return on investment than traditional advertising. This is because sponsorship allows your business to become directly involved in activities that are highly valued by local consumers.
Consumers are known to form strong positive associations with sponsors who support the development of grassroots sports and contribute to the local community. With eight out of ten consumers preferring to believe in what a company does rather than what it says; it’s easy to see why many businesses are choosing to sponsor football academies like ours as a way of maximising their marketing return.
By directly supporting us, you’re helping to remove economic barriers — making sport affordable and inclusive for all and in doing so, keeping kids off the streets and providing them with the foundations and tools to lead a balanced and successful life.

Academy of Excellence
Who we are
Pro Touch SA (PTSA) is an organisation which was established in February 2006 and marks its 16th Anniversary in 2022. This charitable social enterprise manages both the academy and community programmes across London.
As a not-for-profit organisation, we re-invest all profit back into the programmes we operate across London. The organisation is run by London-based sports (football) professionals and people who enjoy working with youths — the staff and management are all highly skilled and offer a variety of experiences. They range from Football Association (FA) coaches to qualified youth sports and fitness workers from the fields of school education and sports management. Most of our staff don’t get paid, we do it because we’re passionate about providing a positive future for these young people.
PTSA has players from the ages of 9 years old through 16. They come from all ethnicities and backgrounds, from low-income families to the middle class.
We are affiliated and associated members with London Youth, Middlesex FA, Sported UK, Street Games UK, Sport & Recreation Alliance, Sporting Equals and UK Youth.
We've successfully secured accreditation from FA Charter Standard, Camden Active and Active Westminster Marks.
- PTSA delivers community youth and sports activities, programmes and projects across 13 different London Boroughs including Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Islington and Westminster.
- PTSA delivers over 50 sessions per week Monday—Sunday.
- PTSA has over 2000 registered members.
- PTSA has successfully managed and delivered more than 20 international football and cultural residentials in countries including Denmark, France, Spain, Portugal and Macedonia.
The aim
Pro Touch SA (PTSA) has been set up to deliver two key agendas:
The first is to help, support and encourage potential young, gifted and talented football players. PTSA wants to create and give opportunities for these young people to access “the bridge and experience to professional football”.
The second aim is to work under the Pro Touch Community (PTC) umbrella towards the Government’s five key points:
- Be healthy
- Stay safe
- Enjoy and achieve
- Make a positive contribution
- Achieve economic well-being
The Academy and community organisations also want to highlight the issue of increasing youth and sports participation among those who may not have access to, or interest in, a team or individual activity. The Academy and community target age group is young people between 4-16 years who live or study within London boroughs including Barnet, Brent, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington, Newham, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest and Westminster to name just a few.
The Academy and community coaching and management staff and volunteers will work with representatives from local schools, youth and community organisations — teachers, mentors and youth workers — to recruit young people for both Academy and community programmes.
The objective
The Academy and community will work very closely with the young people and improve their individual needs by developing programmes which will enhance and strengthen their weaknesses and overall football/sports potential. This will involve a variety of topics and workshops such as fitness, intensive exercise, anti-racism, drug awareness, culture and attitude, along with an informal education within the field of sports. This will hopefully give some of the less confident young people the self-esteem and belief that sports can be played by anyone and everyone within a safe and enjoyable environment.
The Academy will arrange professional youth academy trial in-house matches within England. But it will also make individual referrals for those who show exceptional talent ahead of their peers. This will enable the young people to showcase the Academy team as well as their individual abilities, which they have received through coaching at the PTSA. The PTSA management will then follow up on any interest from the professional clubs and arrange for the young person to go for a trial. The Academy's senior management and mentors will also monitor their progress by liaising with the professional clubs’ coaching staff and management.
Our mission statement — access to all
Pro Touch SA believes in inclusion and “access to all' and uses the power of sport to engage with young people all over London including Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Islington and Westminster.
With the lack of and closure of a number of services and initiatives across the city, we have taken responsibility to provide much of the needed services around community, youth and sport. We also took a proactive step during Covid-19 and the subsequent national lockdowns in 2020 and 2021.
Our programmes allow us to work closely with young people to not only encourage social inclusion and healthy living, but workshops which tackle important issues such as drug awareness, gang violence as well as equipping them with knowledge of financial independence and learning new skills.
We deliver community youth and sports activities, programmes and projects across the year - running sessions in youth clubs, holiday and half-term programmes as well as sports camps and taster sessions to activities and opportunities which would normally be considered out-of-reach for most communities. We have also designed online programmes and sessions as well as organising food parcels for those in need.
Our aim is to provide healthy active lifestyle opportunities to young people and give them the best opportunity to excel in their chosen paths.
Pro Touch community
The organisation and range of services we offer continue to grow. We’re currently delivering various community youth and sports activities, services, projects and programmes to our targeted members across many different London boroughs.
We're delivering over 50 sessions a week, with each lasting for a minimum of one hour and engaging with over 1000 children and young people per week across London.
These include;
- Holiday programmes
- Multi-sports in housing estates and disadvantaged communities.
- Mentoring and 1-2-1 support.
- Volunteering and training programmes.
Some of our money is donated through small private foundations but mostly we're funded by sponsors, fundraising and small contributions from the parents through their monthly fees for the services we provide.
History of Our Club
Pro Touch was founded in 2006 by Ash Rahman who at the time was a 25-year-old working as a Community Youth and Sports Development professional. He wanted to help predominately ethnic minorities get into professional football.
Ash had a huge task ahead with being only 25 and also Asian, he knew there would be barriers. There were at that time, no pathways to get into professional football.
Pro Touch SA was set up with the aim of getting young people to enjoy football whilst keeping them off the streets and giving them something to focus on in life — whether that be to become a professional footballer, a better player or to go back to school with the confidence to play for the school team. We're passionate about giving these children a drive; a reason for waking up in the morning — feeling proud and confident that they can lead successful lives.
As well as football, we educate in fitness, intensive exercise, anti-racism, drugs awareness and culture.
Aspirations
With membership and crowd attendance rising, we have ambitious plans to continue to develop the infrastructure at the academy. There's a possibility that we may be securing a brand-new built community facility in the heart of Camden in the near future which will provide us with plenty of scope for advertising, networking meetings and so much more.
Naturally, we want to support our sponsors and build them into our club on a strategic level — allowing all of our partners to benefit from our ever-improving facilities, expanding audience and community involvement.
